The Palm Beach Food & Wine Fest kicks off tomorrow and runs from December 13 – 17. For this year’s event, more than 50 culinary talents and celebrity chefs will be celebrating all things “epicurious” in Palm Beach. The festival brings together an eclectic collection of award-winning chefs, culinary personalities, authors, winemakers and mixologists each December. Together they celebrate the art of preparing and enjoying the world of epicurean pleasures.
With specialty cocktail and hors d’oeuvre receptions, five-course dinners with premium wine pairings and the final grand tasting and cooking competition, the 2013 Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival is not only the foremost culinary happening in Palm Beach, but it also maintains the largest charity component of any event in the season with net revenues benefiting Chefs Dish Back™.
This year the festival foundation Chefs Dish Back™ will benefit five organizations advocating for five different and equally-important causes: Share Our Strength (child hunger), Alex’s Lemonade Stand (health and medical care), Feeding South Florida (local/poverty), James Beard Foundation (education) and American Red Cross, Palm Beaches – Treasure Coast Region (disaster response).
The Palm Beach Post has written a nice review with suggestions about this year’s “must do” events during the festival. Click here to read that article.
