In honor of France’s independence day, West Palm Beach’s Clematis by Night on the Waterfront takes on the Bastille Day theme tomorrow, July 14th with a special program including a French Fair in the Park, a live concert by Flavor, can-can dancers, street performers, a kids zone, food and wine vendors.  The celebration begins at 6:00pm.   At 7:00pm,  the 3rd Annual WPB WAITERS RACE will also take place on the waterfront.
In addition, PISTACHE, the popular French brasserie restaurant located facing the waterfront park, will be celebrating the French Revolution with special menus and drinks, entertainers and a dance party from 9pm-2am with a special guest DJ. Décor and production by Bruce Sutka

For a more relaxed celebration, Art After Dark at the Norton Museum of Art will be celebrating Bastille Day together with the Alliance Française South Florida, which is co-hosting an even filled with Performances by Circ X; French art, wine, food and more.  Here is the program:

5 p.m. – 6 p.m. DJ German Garcia will be spinning French Lounge Music in honor of Bastille Day!
5:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. Docent Tour: A French Connection, American Artists Abroad.
5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. Artist Showcase: French artist Catherine Bottiau demonstrates, plein-air(open) air painting and sketching demonstration in the Central Garden.
5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. DIY Art Workshop: Pastels In The Garden.
As a nod to Monet and other French Impressionists, we will draw with soft pastels in the Central Garden!
5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Bastille Day Caricatures with Dino DiArtist. Complimentary Bastille Day Caricatures for AAD guests.
6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Curator’s Conversation: Vive la France! French Art in the Museum Collection.
6:30 p.m.- 9 p.m. “French Twist” Cabaret Performances with Circ X
Roving actors and dancers entertain guests throughout the evening with high energy Moulin Rouge and Cabaret dance performances.

Cafe 1451 offers sweet, and savory crepes, and French wines specials.
Museum Store open until 8 p.m. Galleries open until 9 p.m.
