Celebrate the Holidays with Sandi the Sand Tree

The holiday season in West Palm Beach is a bit different than the winter wonderland that we all grew up seeing in It’s a Wonderful World. Instead, we go the holiday in paradise route, taking the fun and magical nature of the season and making it our own.  And, nothing says West Palm Beach whimsical quite like a 600-ton holiday tree, made entirely of sand.

Sandi the holiday tree, a beloved South Florida holiday tradition, is the world’s only 600-ton holiday tree sculpted from sand featuring dazzling musical light shows nightly with over 5,000 lights.

For two weeks starting November 13 you can head down to the West Palm Beach Waterfront to watch Team Sandtastic building Sandi up. Watch as they meticulously turn our beautiful beach sand into a holiday staple, complete with a synchronized light show.

The building of Sandi culminates with the Holiday Tree lighting, on Thursday, November 30th during Clematis by Night which will include a full line up of special events and FREE family fun this year. Valerie Tyson Band and Chemradery will provide the soundtrack for the evening. Face painting and a visit from Elsa are in store for the kids at Snowville, while the adults can cross some gifts off their list at the Holiday Gift Boutique. Who knows? Santa might even take a break from his hard work and make an appearance with Mrs. Clause.

The event is pet-friendly. So, bring the whole family and celebrate the holiday West Palm Beach style.
